Frontiere dell’energia in Eni

Fotovoltaico organico e batterie

L’evento è aperto a tutti i Soci NINE. Tutti i Soci iscritti all’evento riceveranno il giorno stesso l’invito a partecipare.

Le iscrizioni termineranno il 5 giugno.

Vi aspettiamo numerosi! 😄

    Laura Meda

Physicist, graduated at Milano University in 1983, in the field of condensed matter,
semiconductors and physical-chemistry of surfaces. In 1982 stage at the Chemistry Research Center Donegani-Institute in Novara (IT), studying surface heterogeneous catalysts.
In 1984 Joined ST-Microelectronics R&D in Agrate Brianza (MI) to characterize electronic materials, surfaces and interfaces, by using AES and XPS spectroscopies, XRD, SEM, and Hall electrical measurements. For three years (1987-1989) she was chosen by STM as a temporary professor in a post-doc School of “Materials Science” at Parma University (IT).
In 1990 joined ENICHEM SpA to equip a new technological laboratory devoted to functional materials for electronics (Silicon-on-Insulators produced by ion implantation, with annealing and oxide precipitation processes). SOI process patented. In 1994 she moved to Novara at Istituto ENI-Donegani R&D to be responsible of a laboratory devoted to surface materials characterizations (XPS- electrical measurements).
In 2007-2012 she was project leader for the Renewable Energy initiative of ENI SpA devoted to “Solar Hydrogen production” by water splitting, with a group of 10 researchers. In these years she collaborated with MIT-ENI initiatives and participated in 2 EU-funded projects: NANOPEC (2009-2011); PHOCS (2012-2014).
Since 2014, ENI Novara became the Renewable Energy & Environmental Centre, and she was involved in the “STORAGE” research group devoted to flow batteries, by following materials characterization and by sharing a project with MIT for semisolid electrolytes for a Zn/Ni battery (with prof. Shao-Horn MIT Boston USA).
Advisor for the joined initiative ENI-CNR on SiC detectors for FUSION studies.
She is author of more than 150 papers, more than 80 oral presentations to international Conferences, 11 patents and one book (Springer-Verlag 1988) on “Physical-Chemistry of Silicon”. H-index 27.
Member of the Electrochemical Soc.; E-MRS; ISE (International Society of Electrochemistry); AIV. Chairperson and organizer of the whole Spring Conference E-MRS 2015 (Lille-F). Expert for the European Community in funded projects evaluation. Member of the commission for ENI-AWARDS evaluation.

  • Riccardo Po

Riccardo Po studied industrial chemistry at the University of Pisa, where he received his M.Sc. in 1988. Subsequently, he joined the materials department of Enichem Research Center in Novara, where he worked on polymer synthesis and modification. In 1999, he became the manager of the polymer chemistry and physics department. In 2007, the research center was incorporated by Eni S.p.A, and he was appointed the manager of the solar energy department and put in charge of the research activities on polymer solar cells. He is currently a senior scientist and is involved in several company’s projects involving the development of novel materials for energy applications.
